Summer Blues... To autumn hues

It's that time of year again. The air turns crisper, the leaves turn brown and the scent of pumpkin spice fills the air. It's the season for Gilmore Girls and cozy sweaters. It's autumn.
For some, this is their favourite time of year, and it can even be argued as the best season for fashion. However, for others, it's the season for mourning summer.
If you are the ones who want to hold on to summer for as long as possible, below are some easy ways to transition your summer wardrobe into your autumn wardrobe, and keep wearing your favourite summer pieces for a few more weeks!
Skirts and boots:
Rather than wearing mini skirts with sandals, flats or sneakers, try wearing them with knee high boots. Not only does this add extra coverage to your leg (for those colder mornings) it looks super stylish, and encompasses a wardrobe staple you can take with you through to the winter season.
Layers:
Autumn is all about layers. It's colder in the mornings and evenings, rain starts to pour and everyone wants to snuggle up. For this weather, layering jumpers on top of cute summer dresses is the perfect way to feel comfortable throughout the day. So wear your cute summer dress but add a cozy knit or sweatshirt to keep you warm in the fall. This formula works for both short and long dresses.
Jackets:
Autumn is THE season for jackets! The fall temperature means the perfect environment for a jacket; not too cold but not warm either. Get out those leather and suede jackets and add them to any outfit. You can pair your summer dress with a leather jacket and boots to encompass the cool girl style, or add a suede jacket and cowboy boots to encompass boho chic.
